Case Study – Domaine des Forges, Laval: Reinvented Communication with the AlloCharles Personalized Journal

It is in this context that the Domaine des Forges, in Laval, has chosen to collaborate with AlloCharles to modernize and professionalize its internal newspaper.

A pilot project to test a new approach

In January 2025, the general manager of Domaine des Forges expressed her interest in a free, non-binding pilot project proposed by AlloCharles. The objective was simple: to test a new way of designing and distributing the residence newspaper through a turnkey solution, encompassing layout, printing and delivery.

Until now, the residence has produced its newspaper in-house, a time-consuming task that mobilized its team for the layout and organization of the content. By opting for AlloCharles, the director has not only lightened this workload, but has also benefited from a completely redesigned, modern and attractive newspaper.

A smooth and collaborative process

From the start of the project, a collaborative platform was set up to facilitate the deposit of documents and content to be included in the journal. The director and her team quickly adopted this tool, allowing AlloCharles to design a personalized newspaper in the colors of the residence, in line with the expectations and habits of the residents.

Far from being a simple newsletter, this newspaper has become a real engaging communication tool, highlighting:

  • Activities and events organized by the residence
  • Residents’ testimonies and stories
  • Age-friendly wellness tips and social topics
  • Partnerships with local merchants

Concrete results and measurable impact

In just 45 days, AlloCharles managed to mobilize several advertising partners to finance part of the newspaper’s costs. As a result, nearly 58% of the costs were covered through these partnerships, significantly reducing the residence’s investment.

Beyond the financial aspect, the impact on the residence and its residents was immediate:
