the family gazette

Your family’s news, in their very own gazette

The whole family’s photos and notes become, every month, an illustrated gazette in their name, to read in large print or listen to. To see how, follow one month with Denise.

the story of one month

October, with the Tremblays

Denise lives in a residence. Her children and grandchildren are spread out between Montréal, Québec City and Toronto. Here is their month. (Names and images are fictional.)

  1. October 1

    Julie opens her mother’s space

She creates “Denise’s family” and invites her brothers, her children and a longtime friend. Everyone signs up for free, with a link or a code.

  2. all month

Everyone posts whenever it suits them

Léa scores two goals at soccer. Marc comes back from apple picking. Sophie hides a cottage photo as a surprise. And the question of the month gets everyone talking.

  3. October 31

    The gazette makes itself

At the deadline, AlloCharles lays everything out: 4 to 16 pages, up to 15 photos, a setting that follows the season. Nobody had to touch any software.

  4. early November

Denise reads it, listens to it, keeps it

In large print on her tablet, read aloud with one button, or on paper if the family orders the printed version, delivered to her residence.

  5. and then…

    Denise writes back to everyone

With “a word from grandma or grandpa”, she writes back to the whole family. Her note appears in the next gazette. And November begins.

your questions

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Signing up, the family space and the online gazette are free. Only the printed and delivered version, if you order it, has a cost.

Who can see our photos and notes?

Only your loved one and the family members you invite. Nothing is public, and nothing is posted anywhere else.

My loved one lives at home, not in a residence. Does it still work?

Yes. The family gazette works at home just as well as in a residence.

Can we get a printed gazette?

Yes. You can order a printed version delivered to your loved one. The details are shown in the family space when you order.

What if we post very little this month?

The layout adapts: a lovely photo can fill a whole page, and no page is ever left empty.

Next month, it could be your mother’s gazette. Or your father’s.

Free, and private to the family. Do you run a residence?
