A residence newsletter is much more than a calendar
AlloCharles produces the in-house newsletter of about fifty senior residences in Quebec and Ontario. Every month, the newsletter becomes an event residents look forward to.
Fight social isolation
Residents recognize themselves in the photos, get to know their neighbours and share something to talk about. The newsletter builds bonds, especially for newcomers.
Keep families in the loop
Activities, outings, monthly celebrations: families know what’s happening and talk about it with their loved one. An online version is shared with a single link.
Showcase your team
The work of your recreation, care and kitchen teams becomes visible. Good for team pride and for the residence’s reputation.
A leasing asset
Left at the front desk or handed out during tours, the newsletter shows a lively residence, better than a brochure.
What goes in the newsletter
- Monthly activity calendar
- Birthdays and new residents
- A word from management
- Photos of parties and outings
- Resident and staff profiles
- Menu, games, crosswords and recipes
Printed in colour, in large type, and also available as an online flipbook.

How it works
- 1
You send the content
Around the 15th: text, photos and calendar in a shared folder. A Word document is enough.
- 2
We lay it out
Our designers build the newsletter in your colours and send you a first version a few days later.
- 3
You approve
You ask for changes, then give your approval around the 22nd.
- 4
We print and deliver
About 6 business days later, the copies arrive at the residence, ready to hand out.
Families follow residence life too
With the family space, free for families, loved ones share photos and notes with their parent, right next to the residence newsletter.

Questions from residences
How much does a residence newsletter cost?
It depends on the number of pages and copies. We send you a clear quote after a 30-minute call. Ads from local businesses can lower the bill, and your first issue is on us as part of the pilot project.
Who writes the content?
Your team (often recreation or management) sends us the month’s information: activities, birthdays, photos, notes. We format, proofread and lay out the newsletter. No design skills needed.
Is the newsletter easy for seniors to read?
Yes. We use large type, strong contrast and clear photos, designed for readers aged 75 and over.
Can families read it?
Yes. Every issue also has an online version, shared with families by email or on your website. The AlloCharles family space is free for families.
How often is it published?
Most residences publish monthly. Some prefer every two or three months. Page counts are always a multiple of 4 (8, 12, 16 pages…).
How do we get started?
Book a 30-minute call. We look at what you already have, then launch a free first issue, with no commitment.
